Playing a game can be a good way to mix relaxation and activity. One that people can roll out at the park, the beach, or even in their own yards. A game that is easy to set up and play, yet has a degree of challenge which can be varied depending on the players and other factors. Ideally, the pieces of such a game would be simple in design and construction to keep production costs down making it affordable for game players. It should be compact so it travels well and is easily stored. That game is called ROLLORS™.
ROLLORS™ can be played wherever a flat ground surface can be found. ROLLORS™ is a game of skill that requires a modest level of physical activity. The components of the lawn game, rolling disks, (e.g. ROLLORS™) are basic in design and construction keeping the cost down. The difficulty of play of the lawn game using ROLLORS™ can be quickly varied depending on the age and skill level of the players, the degree of challenge desired or other factors as decided by the players. When broken down, ROLLORS™ is compact in dimension so that it can be toted and stored with ease.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Beginners Basic Game – 2 Players
Set-Up
Position the red and blue goals approximately 25 feet apart on a level terrain
Play
Each player uses one color set of rollers in the first round of play, blue goes first. Standing behind the red goal the blue player rolls one rollor at a time to the other goal. The rollor should be rolled on the edge, with a wind-up and release as in bowling. The rollor must touch the ground with in 4 feel of the release. Once the blue player has played the red player takes a turn.
Safety Notes:
Throwing the rollor is NOT allowed.
Throwing the rollor like a Frisbee is NOT allowed.
Scoring
Only one player scores each round and that is the player with the rollor that is closest to the goal. The measuring cord should assist in determining which player is closest. In the case of a tie neither player scores. All rollers of the closest scoring color to the goal receive points.
In order to score, a rollor must fall entirely within a 5 foot radius of the center of the goal. A measuring cord is provided to measure this requirement. Points are given as follows:
1.) Rollors that land on their side - score a point value equal to the number that is showing.
2.) Rollers that stop on the edge - score a point value equal to the sum of both sides.
3.) Rollers that come to rest against the goal - score a point value of double the number showing.
Game
Play continues with rounds that are started by the last color that has scored, rolling back and forth between goals. To win, a player must achieve a total of 21 points or more, and must have two more points than the opponent.
Basic Game – 4 Players
Set-Up
Same as the 2 player game
Play
Each team, consisting of two players each, uses one set of rollers. One member of each team is positioned at each goal and rolls to the other. Turns are taken in the same manner as in horseshoes. Playing and scoring is the same as in 2 player basic game.
Basic Game – 6 Players
Set-Up
Same as the 2 player game
Play
Each team consisting of three players each uses one set of rollors. Play is the same as in the two player game, except that each member of a team rolls one rollor per turn. Scoring is the same as the two player basic game.
Children's Game
A children's version can be played the same as the beginner's games except goals would be set up 15 to 20 feet apart and ALL rollors landing within a five foot radius would score.
Intermediate and Advanced Play
More challenging versions can be played by lengthening the distance between goals for intermediate and counting rollors that fall within a three foot radius for advanced play. Or add a challenge by setting up goals on terrain that is not level. Or add obstructions in the middle of the two goals (i.e. trees, stumps, bushes, etc.)
