Here we go!
My name is Ted in case you didn't know already. I am 39 soon to be 40 (Sep. 2). I have been married to my lovely wife Susan for 2 years now. I have 13 (almost 14) year old TRIPLETS from my first marriage! Yes....TRIPLETS!!! 2 girls and 1 boy. Tori, Reanna and Derek.
I was born in Parkersburg, WV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkersburg,_West_Virginia) because Belpre, OH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belpre,_oh) doesn't have a hospital. LOL! The only thing that seperates the two towns is a bridge! I consider myself a BUCKEYE! I was raised in Belpre,OH and loved every minute of it! I now reside in Vienna, WV. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna,_WV)
I work for Evonik Degussa Corporation in Belpre, OH. They are based out of Germany. We make carbon black which is used in everyones lives...daily! Carbon black goes into tires (the most common), dash trim in your car, women's makeup (eye liner, etc...), ink for pens, ink cartridges for printers and we even make some carbon black that has to get approved by the FDA. I'm not sure what it's used for. We just say..."We are making a food grade". I think it's used for the packaging or something to put the food on or inside? I wouldn't think the carbon black would actually go in the food? Who knows?
I love playing cornhole, softball and I am still active in our Men's Adult Baseball League (18 and over). I have tapered off on the baseball in the last year or so. I still love softball though! Cornhole is a lot like softball. Everyone gathers around to play a game but somehow....beer get's involved and no one really cares about the game anymore!
The one thing I love about cornhole is....no one is cocky! I have said this over and over and over! I have NEVER been to a tournament where someone has said they are better than anyone else or even been mouthy! I have never met Matt Guy (yet) but I'm sure he doesn't talk down to people like he's better than them. Everyone seems to get along and I love that about this game!
I usually play in my back yard or at my father-in-laws house. I try to make it to Mason,WV or Pomeroy,OH to play with some of the best cornhole players in the country whenever work allows me to. They play on Thursday nights at either the Riverside Golf Course in Mason,WV (winter) http://www.riversidegolfclubwv.com/ or Bun's Party Barn in Pomeroy,OH (summer). http://www.bunspartybarn.com/BPB_photos/
